WHAT IS CNC MILLING?

CNC Milling is a mechanical process that produces parts/components by gradually removing material from the workpiece using rotating multipoint cutting tools and computerised controls. The machine can create high quality and intricate parts.

The instructions from the computer are the design that the machine will follow. It coordinates and controls what the milling machine does meaning there is hardly any human input needed. CNC Milling Machines are great for mass-producing parts for projects or products.

HOW IT WORKS

Firstly, a 3D CAD file will need to be created and developed for the design of the part. The file will need to be converted into a readable format for the machine to read. It will read the coded instruction and will put them into operation. It will replicate the design in the chosen material with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
