WHAT IS PRESS BRAKE WORK?

A press brake is a piece of manufacturing equipment that bends sheet metal. It forms a bend in the sheet metal by clamping it in between a matching punch and die.

The Punch is located and aligned vertically above the Die. The Die matches the size and shape of the Punch and is critically secured directly beneath the Punch. The Punch and Die are brought together hydraulically or manually.

HOW IT WORKS

Firstly, fix the Punch and Die on the upper and lower worktable aligned vertically to each other. Then it bends the sheet metal by lowering the Punch onto the sheet metal that is fixed on top of the Die. You can use the Press Break multiple times until you get the desired product.

The two different types of press brakes are hydraulic and electronic. Hydraulic Press Brakes are the oldest and more common than Electronic Press Brakes. They can handle heavier workloads than their electronic counterparts.
