WHAT IS POWDER COATING?

HOW IT WORKS
The metal pieces will need to be cleaned, ground or sandblasted before Powder Coating them so the Coating will stick. You electrostatically apply the dry colour powder using a powder gun to a metal surface.
The Colour Powder is sprayed on using compressed air. Passing over an electrode in the powder gun gives the Powder a positive charge that attracts to the metal surface. Then you bake the colour onto the surface with heat to form a hard finish.
